Currently, the power system utilities face many unprecedented challenges due to rapidly rising demand with the need of generating and delivering energy in an efficient, reliable and cost effective manner. In addition, the penetration of more renewable energy sources complicates the control of power systems and causes many disturbances. Due to these factors, the utilities need to manage the power system issues such as voltage sags/swells, flicker, active/reactive power flow control and other phenomena caused by intermittent energy flows and fluctuations. We have custom designed FACTS (Flexible AC Transmission Systems) turn-key solutions including SVC, Transmission STATCOM and Distribution STATCOM devices to help utilities for enhancing power system efficiency, stability, quality and reliability.
